One of the world’s most beautiful cities with a strong Venetian element, wedged between two fortresses, overflowing with Venetian mansions and quaint winding lanes. This is a cosmopolitan place that exudes an air of grandeur. The main attractions are the large Spianada Square (the largest square in the Balkans), the Old and New Fortresses, the Town Hall, the Kanoni district, Mons Repo and the Museum of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine History.

Perhaps the most famous sight is the small island (the well-known Pontikonissi) that lies right in front of the Kanoni district linked to it by a narrow strip of land. It’s home to the church of Panagia Vlachernon. Corfu also offers countless beaches with enticing emerald waters. Don’t miss the famous Canal d’Amour. The rocks protruding from the sea come in different shades, with yellow the dominant colour. The landscape here is charming, and very romantic.
